This event was sponsored by EnBW, in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR).<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flowcopter&#8217;s participation in the inaugural drone challenge<\/h2>\n\n<p>The<strong> objective of the Offshore Drone Challenge<\/strong> (ODC) was to provide a platform for leading drone manufacturers to present their innovations to offshore wind energy operators. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/marine-wind-energy-in-colombia\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"162384\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind energy<\/a>\n<\/strong> and important figures from government, transport and drone regulation in Germany.<\/p>\n\n<p>It is important to mention that EnBW highlighted the importance of offshore wind farms for the <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/cip-and-offshore-wind-farm-permits\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"151951\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind farms<\/a>\n<\/strong> in achieving climate objectives, mentioning that they are designed to<strong> have a useful life of more than 20 years<\/strong>. However, a considerable challenge is its remote location, far from the coast.
