This decision affects a facility wholly owned by the company.<\/p>\n\n<p>During a scheduled subsea inspection, a crack was discovered in one of the steel legs of the self-elevating platform of the mobile offshore production unit. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/video-tv\/transpetro-slom-2023-offshore-operations\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"video-tv\" data-id=\"101099\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mobile offshore production unit (MOPU).<\/a>\n<\/strong> Ingenium (MOPU). This anomaly has been considered by the company as a possible risk to the structural integrity of the facility.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preventive measures with respect to production in the Wassana field<\/h2>\n\n<p>In order to ensure safety and following its rigorous protocols, Valeura Energy has decided to <strong>temporarily halt operations in the Wassana field<\/strong>. This preventive measure will allow for additional inspections and analysis to assess the situation comprehensively.<\/p>\n\n<p>Fortunately, the company has indicated that <strong>there have been no incidents or negative impacts on people or the environment<\/strong> due to this problem. Valeura is collaborating with a team of both internal and external experts to determine the best plan of action and ensure the safety of the operation.<\/p>\n\n<p>The company is committed to providing an update in a timely manner.
