This project, known as La Uni\u00f3n, highlights the company&#8217;s commitment to the decarbonization of the country. The La Uni\u00f3n plant<strong> <\/strong>will have the capacity to<strong> generate enough energy to supply more than 132,000 homes annually<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La Uni\u00f3n solar plant transforms energy in Colombia<\/h2>\n\n<p>It is estimated that it will prevent the emission of more than 123,000 tons of CO\u2082 into the atmosphere each year, contributing significantly to the reduction of greenhouse gases. The investment for this project was US$100 million. During the construction phase, 1,276 jobs were created, most of which were filled by local workers, thus boosting the region&#8217;s economy.<\/p>\n\n<p>The start of La Uni\u00f3n&#8217;s commercial operations also marks an important milestone in Colombia&#8217;s energy transition. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/for-ecopetrol-hydrogen-paves-the-way-for-the-energy-transition-in-colombia\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"56036\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colombia&#8217;s energy transition.<\/a>\n<\/strong>. This project not only supports Solarpack&#8217;s expansion strategy in the region, but also strengthens the country&#8217;s energy infrastructure with renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n<p>Leo Moreno, the global CEO of <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/company\/solarpack\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/company\/solarpack\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Solarpack<\/a>\n<\/strong>expressed his pride in the team that has made this achievement possible.
