Lhyfe, a leading company in the production of renewable hydrogen, <\/strong>made the delivery last Thursday of 350 kg of green hydrogen to G\u00e9om\u00e9thane<\/strong>, a natural gas specialist. This hydrogen was delivered for a crucial experiment consisting of injecting hydrogen<\/strong> into salt caves <\/strong>located at the G\u00e9om\u00e9thane facility in Manosque, southern France.<\/p>\n\n

This experiment is an essential part of an ambitious project led by the urban community DLVAgglo and G\u00e9om\u00e9thane, which aims to \n accelerate the decarbonization<\/a>\n<\/strong> of the Marseille-Fos-Sur-Mer industrial park through the use of renewable hydrogen.<\/p>\n\n

G\u00e9om\u00e9thane tests green hydrogen in subway storage<\/h2>\n\n

In this phase of the experiment, \n G\u00e9om\u00e9thane, which currently uses salt caves to store natural gas, is evaluating the feasibility of injecting hydrogen into these cavities,<\/a>\n<\/strong> is evaluating the feasibility of injecting hydrogen into these cavities. Matthieu Guesn\u00e9, founder and CEO of the company, expressed his pride in participating in this project that highlights the multiple applications of hydrogen<\/strong>, not only in the decarbonization of mobility and industry, but also in energy storage, crucial for energy independence.<\/p>\n\n

As renewable hydrogen<\/strong> production increases, storage will become a key issue. The use of caves for this purpose is a promising option being explored throughout Europe. This project will provide fundamental data on this technology.<\/p>\n\n
