This facility will be built at the Riskulla site of M\u00f6lndal Energi in the municipality of M\u00f6lndal, Sweden.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A 50 MW heating plant<\/h2>\n\n<p>This commissioned project was registered during the second quarter of 2024, although the value of the project has not been disclosed. There are estimates that the pellet plant is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, this new installation will be integrated into the existing district heating network. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/google-google-heat-recovery-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"160801\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">district heating network<\/a>\n<\/strong> and managed by M\u00f6lndal Energi. The boiler plant will not only increase the renewable district heating capacity in the south of G\u00f6teborg Energi&#8217;s network, but will also optimize district heat production in the M\u00f6lndal and Gothenburg areas.<\/p>\n\n<p>G\u00f6teborg Energi CEO Per-Anders Gustafsson said: &#8220;<em>With this investment, we will improve resource efficiency and increase the amount of renewable district heating in the region. This will benefit our district heating customers in M\u00f6lndal and Gothenburg by providing a more cost-effective and reliable service.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, Aleksi Salmirinne, Vice President of Valmet&#8217;s Energy business unit, expressed his satisfaction: &#8220;We are very satisfied with the results of the project.<em>We are delighted to continue our collaboration with G\u00f6teborg Energi on the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable wood pellets in district heating production.
