This breakthrough allows drones to be used to capture detailed images of the entire surface of an aircraft, generating comprehensive, paperless reports.

Drones for aircraft inspection offer greater accuracy

A GVI is a crucial and regulated maintenance process aimed at identifying defects on the surface of an aircraft. Compared to traditional methods, the use of drones proves to be more efficient, as it significantly decreases aircraft downtime.
 aircraft
. In addition, these reports are very useful during pre-purchase inspections, providing detailed and accurate information.

Vincent Rongier, vice president of business operations support, noted: “FOCA approval represents an important milestone for our program as we continue to expand our automated drone and artificial intelligence capabilities across our network. As we continue to challenge ourselves to reimagine commercial aviation and expand our services, we are able to offer innovative solutions for even the most complex inspections, with a focus on predictive maintenance.“.

Jet Aviation and its intelligent drones

It is important to mention that
 Jet Aviation
a global company owned by U.S.-based General Dynamics, began incorporating drones and artificial intelligence last year for a variety of unregulated services.

These services include pre-purchase aircraft structure inspections, paint quality checks and inspections related to insurance and warranties. Regulated inspections are now available for models such as the Gulfstream G280, G550 and G650, as well as other wide-body and narrow-body business jets.

Follow us on social networks and don’t miss any of our publications!

Source and photo: ainonline

The authorization allows for regulated inspections on models such as the Gulfstream G280, G550 and G650, as well as other commercial aircraft.

[13064,13030

post-160357","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_noticias-aerospace","categoria_noticias-industry
["GET
