This system reduces maintenance costs and improves productivity by resisting erosion caused by moving sand inside the pipelines, the company reported.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new Sherwin Williams Resilient Coating System<\/h2>\n\n<p>The ERC is designed to protect the internal walls of steel pipelines, specifically in areas near wellheads where <strong>sand flows from fracking can cause erosion over a period of 6 to 18 months<\/strong>. The new system technology keeps the powder coating intact for much longer than current alternatives, avoiding metal loss and early pipe replacement.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>ERC-lined pipelines have greater durability against abrasive fluids<\/strong>, resulting in fewer unexpected shutdowns for maintenance. Sherwin-Williams Protective &amp; Marine energy department manager Kristin Leonard explained that <strong>ERC offers multiphase flow resistance<\/strong>, protecting the steel from erosion and maintaining the structural integrity of the pipelines.<\/p>\n\n<p>Sherry Williams&#8217; new casing system offers <strong>a greater performance advantage for the pipelines <\/strong>, making it through the first 12 months of well operation before replacing them. This period is critical due to the high abrasive content of the fluids during the early stages of well operation.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Improving pipeline performance<\/h2>\n\n<p>Moreover, Pipeclad Frac-Shun ERC is applied to steel pipes of all available diameters, creating an ultra-resistant molecular barrier to erosion.
