This 400-meter-long LNG carrier is <strong>the fifth in the company&#8217;s Hamburg Express class series<\/strong>. A positive addition to the company&#8217;s future projects and services.<\/p>\n\n<p>Hapag-Lloyd&#8217;s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) explained that the Damietta Express vessel has advanced and efficient dual-fuel engines. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/convert-landfill-gas-into-methane\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"158465\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dual-fuel engines.<\/a>\n<\/strong>. With an optimized design and multiple innovative features, to meet today&#8217;s demands and contribute to the company&#8217;s future goals.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The first vessel of this class was the &#8220;Berlin Express&#8221;<\/strong>, named in October last year. This new class of ships strengthens Hapag-Lloyd&#8217;s efforts to achieve an environmentally neutral fleet by 2045. In addition, the use of dual fuel technology allows vessels to operate with non-fossil fuels such as biomethane and e-methane.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, <strong>the use of LNG will reduce CO\u2082 emissions by up to 25%<\/strong>.
