The Dutch company HSM Offshore Energy <\/strong>has signed a long-term lease agreement with Hollandia to use the Stormpolder shipyard in Krimpen aan den IJssel. This initiative is part of HSM’s expansion plans to meet a growing order book. The company is focused on offshore wind and offshore grid projects, with several significant projects to its credit.<\/p>\n\n

HSM and its new projects<\/h2>\n\n

HSM Offshore Energy aims to meet the demand in the offshore renewable energy market through the new manufacturing facility. In addition, the company is involved in the construction of the N05-A gas platform, which stands out for being the first electrified gas production platform that will be fully powered by offshore wind energy. This project is developed for ONE-Dyas in the North Sea, demonstrating HSM’s innovation and technological capacity.<\/p>\n\n

HSM Offshore Energy strengthens with shipyard in Stormpolder<\/h2>\n\n

Hans Leerdam, commercial director of HSM Offshore Energy, highlighted the importance of this expansion in manufacturing capacity:<\/p>\n\n

With our growing order book and focus on the marine energy mix, this is an important milestone as we continue to support our valued customers with additional shipyard capacity and the expanded knowledge of our employees.<\/em>“.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

Stormpolder’s shipyard and office are strategically located between the Noord, Nieuwe Maas and Hollandse IJssel rivers. This location provides easy access by road and inland waterways, with a direct connection to the North Sea, which represents a significant logistical advantage for HSM Offshore Energy.<\/p>\n\n

Characteristics of the shipyard <\/h2>\n\n

In terms of size, the shipyard has a total surface area of 30,000 m\u00b2, of which 4,600 m\u00b2 are covered. This includes a new main platform assembly hall, which will allow HSM Offshore Energy to expand its production capacity significantly.<\/p>\n\n

The expansion of \n HSM Offshore Energy<\/a>\n<\/strong> also contemplates the implementation of advanced technologies in the new shipyard. These innovations include automated assembly systems and real-time monitoring, which will increase production efficiency, improve workplace safety and reduce the environmental impact of its operations.<\/p>\n\n
