The structure has been loaded onto a barge at the Puerto Real shipyard in Cadiz, Spain and is ready for shipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Noimoutier marine substation is ready<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The base of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/prototype-of-floating-marine-substation\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"140304\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">substation of the offshore wind farm<\/a><\/strong> has dimensions reaching almost 64 meters in height and weighs 1,700 tons. According to Navantia Seanergies, the unit has been manufactured to specification in its entirety as planned at the Puerto Real shipyard in Cadiz, Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OW Ocean Winds, a joint venture between France&#8217;s Engie and Portugal&#8217;s EDP Renov\u00e1veis, contracted Spain&#8217;s Navantia to build two <em>jacket<\/em> foundations and the corresponding piles for the substations of the 496 MW<em> &#8220;Iles d&#8217;Yeu et&#8221; <\/em>wind farms in <strong>Noirmoutier <\/strong>and <strong>Dieppe<\/strong> <strong>Le Tr\u00e9port<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, <strong>Navantia Seanergies<\/strong> is manufacturing at the Puerto Real shipyard a second substation for the Dieppe Le Tr\u00e9port wind farm. The <em>Iles d&#8217;Yeu et <\/em>de Noirmoutier marine substation will be built at Chantiers de l&#8217;Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Substation base transportation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The wind farm foundations and substation will be transported and installed by DEME and Allseas. In particular, the Belgian company will be responsible for installing the piles for the roof foundation and transporting both the roof and the top to the project site. Once on site, the jacket and top will be transferred to Allseas&#8217; Pioneering Spirit vessel for <strong>installation using a 5,000-ton crane<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iles D&#8217;Yeu et Noirmoutier offshore wind farm, with a capacity of 496 MW, is located off the Vend\u00e9e coast, 11.6 km from the island of Yeu and 16.5 km from Noirmoutier.
