{"id":152171,"date":"2024-05-04T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-04T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/?p=152171"},"modified":"2024-05-03T22:35:47","modified_gmt":"2024-05-04T03:05:47","slug":"dogger-bank-south-offshore-wind-project","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/dogger-bank-south-offshore-wind-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Fugro to carry out inspection at Dogger Bank South offshore wind project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Fugro has been selected by RWE and Masdar to <strong>carry out seabed geotechnical studies at the Dogger Bank South (DBS) offshore wind project sites<\/strong> , taking advantage of the potential located in the North Sea.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Dogger Bank South offshore wind project<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>This development project covers two areas, DBS East and DBS West<\/strong> , each with a capacity of 1.5 GW, extending over a total of 500 square kilometers and located more than 100 kilometers from the northeast coast of England.<\/p>\n\n<p>The objective assigned to Fugro, which involves the vessels Fugro Quest, Fugro Voyager and Normand Mermaid, will consist of carrying out subsurface investigations using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/versa-integrity-group-offers-services-to-perform-liquid-penetrant-testing\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"62852\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cone Penetration Tests<\/a><\/strong> (CPT) and sampling surveys.<\/p>\n\n<p>These studies will provide essential data for the <strong>planning and construction of the turbine foundations and associated underwater infrastructure<\/strong> , planned to begin in late 2025, with the expectation that the first 800 MW of electricity will be online by 2029\u200b\u200b.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The results of the technical studies<\/h2>\n\n<p>RWE has mentioned in official social media posts that the results of these surveys <strong>will offer a detailed and accurate perspective of soil conditions<\/strong> .
