Intelligent Energy’s patented IE-DRIVE system offers a comprehensive solution for automakers<\/strong> as the most compact and powerful hydrogen fuel cell available on the market. This platform, designed and tested by a British company, was presented during an event at Intelligent Energy’s headquarters, demonstrating its effectiveness in a sport utility vehicle provided by Changan UK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Intelligent Energy highlights the benefits of its IE-DRIVE platform compared to other fuel cell solutions. With a generating capacity of 157 kW<\/strong>, it outperforms any other application currently available in the commercial car market. In addition, its direct water injection technology allows for a heat exchanger 30% smaller than that of its competitors<\/strong>, improving vehicle performance and design.<\/p>\n\n

The company has succeeded in reducing the number of components and the bill of materials of its fuel cell system<\/a>, which increases efficiency and reduces production costs<\/strong>. The result is a complete system, designed to suit the needs of automakers in terms of design and performance.<\/p>\n\n

Intelligent Energy projects that its IE-DRIVE system will cost around GBP 100 per kW by the end of the decade, making it competitive with BEV and ICE solutions. This breakthrough is the result of a four-year project called ESTHER, which was supported by the Advanced Propulsion Center<\/strong> (APC) and the collaboration of several leading companies in the automotive industry.<\/p>\n\n
