Katelin Holloway, CEO of Seven Seven Six, will join Interlune&#8217;s Board of Directors for development and planning.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Helium-3 and the mission of extracting natural resources from the Moon.<\/h2>\n\n<p>Interlune&#8217;s founding team, comprised of individuals with experience in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/nasa-to-launch-spacecraft-designed-with-artificial-intelligence\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"69468\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">commercial and civilian space<\/a> <\/strong>commercial and civilian programs, start-ups and the Moon, aims to <strong>make lunar resource extraction viable in a responsible and technologically advanced manner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Meyerson, co-founder of <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interlune.space\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.interlune.space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Interlune<\/a>\n<\/strong>states that lunar resource extraction is now technologically and economically feasible, thanks to highly qualified equipment.  <strong>The company plans to initially focus on mining and transporting lunar helium-3<\/strong> for commercial and government customers in areas such as homeland security, quantum computing, medical imaging and fusion power.<\/p>\n\n<p>Helium-3 is an abundant resource on the Moon, but scarce on Earth. It therefore represents a solution to the severe shortage recognized by the U.S. government since 2010.
