The Australian hydrocarbon company, Santos<\/strong>, has submitted its Environmental Plan (EP) to the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA).\n NOPSEMA<\/strong>\n<\/a>) for future drilling operations in Australia.<\/p>\n\n

By releasing a white paper by the company, on future drilling operations under the Greater East Spar (GES) project, located in Commonwealth waters, under production licenses WA-13-L and WA-45-L.<\/p>\n\n

National authorities protect the environment<\/h2>\n\n

The plan of \n Santos<\/a>\n<\/strong>plan details operations to drill and complete the Halyard-2 production well in the GES field. These activities are scheduled to<\/strong> be carried out between the second quarter of 2024 and the end of 2026<\/strong> in the Carnarvon Basin, approximately 100 km north of Onslow, Western Australia. With water depths ranging from 95 m to 125 m.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, the EP assures that the operations will not affect protected areas, such as Australian marine parks or state reserves.
