The first models of the Doroni H1-X could start being delivered to customers in 2025, provided development continues by the company as planned<\/p>\n\n

Doroni Aerospace’s new EVTOL<\/h2>\n\n

Doroni Aerospace<\/strong>, located in Miami, Florida, is scheduled to flight test its flagship H1-X<\/strong> model later this year. The company is confident of meeting the requirements for U.S. Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) certification by 2025.<\/p>\n\n

The H1-X represents the evolution of its predecessor<\/strong>, the H1 flying car, both designed for vertical take-off and landing (\n eVTOL<\/a>\n<\/strong>) and with all-electric operation. In addition, it integrates four lifting and propulsion fans, each powered by pairs of counter-rotating coaxial motors.<\/p>\n\n

“To optimize the aerodynamics, we completely redesigned the fuselage,” says Doron Merdinger, CEO of \n Doroni Aerospace<\/a>\n<\/strong>. This design effort not only seeks to maximize the H1-X’s speed and range but also to ensure its compatibility with conventional parking spaces, such as a traditional two-car garage.<\/p>\n\n

FAA Certification<\/h2>\n\n

The focus of the H1-X is to obtain FAA certification as an ultralight aircraft, which would allow it to operate in urban environments. Although certification of eVTOLs is still under development, Doroni Aerospace <\/strong>is actively collaborating with the FAA to define certification standards, paving the way for a new era in personal and collective transportation.<\/p>\n\n

The H1-X design incorporates semi-autonomous functionalities and an intuitive joystick control system, which greatly facilitates flight operation. Although it will require a specific license, a traditional pilot’s license will not be necessary<\/strong>, demonstrating the accessibility and ease of use, intended for the average user.<\/p>\n\n

Lightweight design and equipment for the Doroni H1-X<\/h2>\n\n

The eVTOL is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including anti-collision sensors, barometer, LIDAR, and optical flow cameras<\/strong>, the H1-X ensures a safe and environmentally aware flight experience. In addition, it has redundant fan systems and a ballistic parachute to maximize safety in all phases of flight.<\/p>\n\n

Although, the H1-X is not technically a “flying car” in the conventional sense, its ability to travel from point A to point B<\/strong>, and its optimized design for takeoff and landing, highlight it as an innovative aerial personal transportation solution.<\/p>\n
