Electra<\/a><\/strong>in collaboration with Flyv<\/a><\/strong>is exploring the still existing demand for more conventional electric aircraft with its hybrid-electric short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft, which promises to carry nine passengers, a pilot and luggage up to 805 km at a cruising speed of approximately 322 km\/h (200 mph)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This STOL aircraft will use eight electric propellers on the leading edge of the wings and large flaps on the trailing edges to create an aerodynamic effect of “blown lift” so powerful that it will allow takeoff at speeds of only 56 km\/h (35 mph)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
