Samsung seeks to take this to another level by developing the Smart Sensing system, a suite of sensors designed to transform the operation of semiconductor factories.

About the Smart Sensing system

The Smart Sensing System has the ability to monitor and analyze the production process in real time. These are sensors that use artificial intelligence to evaluate crucial aspects of semiconductor quality, such as plasma uniformity, etching, deposition and cleaning. Tasks that previously required human supervision are now handled by these sensors , which are small enough to be integrated into existing factory assembly lines.

This advance is crucial for managing semiconductor factories without the need for human workers, a goal that Samsung seeks to achieve by 2030. Although companies do not say it openly, replacing human workers with robots offers considerable advantages: they do not require salaries, they do not get sick, they do not make complaints, and they can work continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It is important to highlight that Samsung envisions the possibility of opening the first semiconductor factory completely operated by robots and without humans by the year 2030 .

Don’t miss any of our posts and follow us on social media!

Inspenet.com YouTube LinkedIn Facebook Instagram

Fountain: computerhoy.com

Inspenet, January 29, 2024.
Samsung Electronics aims to achieve full automation of its chip factories by 2030, deploying “smart sensors” to monitor and control the manufacturing process, according to South Korean media reports.

[13034,13080

post-124266","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_noticias-curiosities","categoria_noticias-technology
["GET
