The province of Neuqu\u00e9n, in Argentina, has approved an agreement for the exploration of hydrocarbon deposits in order to begin the search for resources in the area known as Bajo del Toro Este.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The execution of this initiative will be carried out by the private companies Interoil Argentina<\/a><\/strong> and Selva Mar\u00eda Oil<\/strong> , in collaboration with the state hydrocarbon company GyP<\/a><\/strong> , with Interoil being the main operator of the project. The provincial government has reported that the total investment related to this initiative reaches 20.5 million dollars<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the first four years of the project, various activities will be carried out covering the acquisition and processing of 3D seismic data, along with the drilling of an exploratory well. It is important to highlight that this area is located in the Vaca Muerta region, known for its unconventional hydrocarbon reserves and was the subject of an auction this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is relevant to note that some areas in the province have been reserved for GyP, giving it the option of developing them independently or in collaboration with others.
