The CASA Wind Farm, developed by YPF Luz in Olavarría, begins to show itself as one of the renewable generation projects in Argentina. With the arrival of essential components for the installation of nine Nordex wind turbines, each almost 200 meters high and with an individual power of up to 7 MW, the project enters a new phase of development.
The energy proposal of CASA and Movey Wind Farm
The CASA Park represents an unusual configuration in the country, since part of the energy generated will go directly to a customer located in the same industrial site, under a self-generation regime. The surplus will be channeled to the The surplus will be channeled to the Term Electricity Market(MATER), allowing companies to access renewable energy through bilateral contracts.
Movey, a company specialized in logistics for the energy sector, accompanies this process by providing its expertise in the reception, transfer and assembly of the wind turbines supplied by Nordex. The complexity of this stage requires precise coordination to ensure that the large equipment is installed in optimal conditions, respecting schedules and safety standards.
The development of CASA Wind Farm establishes Olavarría as a reference point in the country’s energy transition. This type of initiative promotes a sustainable and diversified matrix, while generating local employment and fostering synergies between private actors committed to decarbonization.
The mixed supply scheme adopted in CASA could become a replicable model for future developments. After integrating self-generation with participation in MATER, it optimizes resources and meets the growing corporate demand for sustainable energy solutions at source.
