The plenary sessions of the 11th ITB International Geothermal Workshop (IIGW) 2022 will take place from August 2 to 4, 2022 virtually, through YouTube and Zoom.

This year, under the theme ‘Geothermal Competitiveness in Support of Net Zero Emissions: From the Technical Model to the Commercial Model’, it will be a melting pot for sharing knowledge, experiences and solving geothermal problems.

Confirmed speakers include: Ahmad Yuniarto, CEO of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy, Andrea Blair, President of the International Geothermal Association (IGA), Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, and Cita Dewi, executive vice president of planning and engineering EBT.

The conferences will focus on the development and innovation of technology for the exploration, exploitation and utilization of geothermal resources, socioeconomics, green investment and competitive business models.

Some of the talks will include: ‘Smart Business Strategy to Develop Low to Medium Enthalpy’ with Robin Zuza, ‘Coal, Geothermal and Mineral Resource Center – Government Drilling Update’ by Hariyanto Company, ‘Hot Dry Rock System ‘ by Graeme Beardsmore and ‘Prospects and challenges for the production and utilization of green hydrogen in geothermal’.
