The State Energy Agency of the State of Veracruz is organizing the Energy, Refining, Gas and Petrochemicals Congress, which will be held in person from September 7 to 9 at the World Trade Center in Boca del Río, Veracruz, Mexico.

According to Rómulo Sánchez Velázquez of the State Energy Agency of the State of Veracruz, the entity will become the meeting point for the most outstanding in science and technology in the international energy sector. This year, the event will focus on Refining, Gas and Petrochemicals, opening an important exchange between the public, private and academic sectors, to identify business opportunities, learn about new technologies, trends and innovations.

Sánchez Velázquez highlighted the importance of Veracruz in the national and international energy sector, consolidated as one of the largest energy producers in the country, with infrastructure for the production of oil and gas, as well as for its transformation, and with the Minatitlán refinery, one of the largest in the country.

The state has gas and petrochemical processing centers, three deep sea ports for importing and exporting petroleum products; Veracruz generates three times more electricity than is consumed in the state and is the only state with a nuclear power plant, which is considered clean energy.

Federal government regulators SENER, CNH, CRE, CENACE, CENAGAS and ASEA will be present, as well as CFE, PEMEX TRI, CONUEE, INEEL, ININ, and companies operating hydrocarbon exploration and extraction contracts.
